A literature search at that time allowed me to give a 10-minute lecture, stating that little happened to (or at least little was known about) the endocrine system as humans aged. Since then, a literature explosion has occurred, with articles documenting the gradual decline in functional reserve in all parts of the endocrine system with aging. ...
