Abstract

Pipelines are the essential transportation infrastructure of the energy system, undertaking most transportation tasks of oil and gas on land. In a critical period of the energy transition, it is necessary to comprehensively review the research on pipeline transport capacity management for better planning. This paper adopted the bibliometric analysis method to analyze the related literature quantitatively. Moreover, we found that studies under different market modes have different characteristics through the review of the existing studies. Based on this, the research framework of this issue is constructed. We summarized the general situation and research status of pipeline capacity management for each market mode. Finally, the shortcomings of current research and the direction of future development were discussed.
