Abstract

The review analyzes the materials that made up the 107th volume of Literary Heritage related to the existence and functioning of the magazine Russian Wealth. The relevance of the documents presented, depicting the busy life of this printing body, forced to wage an endless struggle with censorship restrictions, is emphasized. It is noted how the materials of the volume clarify our ideas about the activities of some journalists and critics, in particular A.I. Ivanchin-Pisarev, P.F. Yakubovich, A.I. Bogdanovich, F.D. Batyushkov, who did not attract close attention before; how the moments of intra-editorial and inter-journal clashes receive coverage, the shades and nuances of which in many ways allow us to imagine events that took place in the culture of that time in a new way.
