Abstract
The rapid technological advancement paved way for widespread adoption of sensing technology in the healthcare and environmental condition monitoring. The sensing technology has proved to be effective in their areas of application but limited studies have been conducted to assess the technical and economic feasibility of sensing technology in healthcare and environmental condition monitoring. This chapter aimed to review the technical and economic feasibility of sensor technology for health and environmental condition monitoring over the past 15years. The results showed that the current and future technologies make sensing technology development and application in healthcare and environmental condition monitoring technically and economically sustainable.
