Abstract

The grids that employ intermittent power sources, such as wind power and solar power, as the main power source are referred to as power systems with high proportion renewable power sources (PSHPRPS). The uncertainty in power generation from intermittent power sources results in a large amount of uncertain power generation in PSHPRPS. It is necessary to study the accommodation technology of PSHPRPS to maintain the power balance of power grids. The research on the power accommodation PSHPRPS mainly focuses on power prediction methods for intermittent power sources, strategies of power accommodation, and grid dispatching control systems. This paper reviews the current research status in this field.
