Abstract

It is of great importance for the global atmospheric circulation evolution about Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, Uplift, dynamic and thermodynamic in the qinghai-tibet plateau affect together atmospheric circulation in the plateau region, Asia and even in the northern hemisphere. Firstly,we summarize the research progress in the impact of plateau uplift on atmospheric circulation, a view is that the qinghai-tibet plateau uplift has a critical value that impacts on the atmosphere when the plateau uplift exceeds the critical height, another view is it that sea and land distribution is the basic situation of modern atmospheric circulation factors and decisive. Then, we discuss about the impact of dynamic action on atmospheric circulation, basically using numerical simulation method to study the influence of plateau on atmospheric circulation by removing directly to terrain. Finally, we analyzed the impact of thermal action on atmospheric circulation, plateau is always as heat source in summer, point out the relationship between the heating effect and South Asia high pressure change and some of the monsoon outbreaks associated with plateau spring ground heating. Plateau snow cover on reflection of solar radiation that is also an important factor to affect the underlying surface heat condition.
