Abstract

Recent results on p+p and p+A interactions are reviewed. They suggest that multiple collisions of the projectile in p+A reactions result in a non-trivial enhancement of strangeness production. This enhancement appears comparable to that observed in A+A interactions. The problem of isospin differences between proton and neutron projectiles is addressed. The question of separation between projectile and target is discussed. The importance of baryon stopping effects is indicated.
