Abstract

Indoor air pollution is a type of indoor pollution caused by dust particles, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as formaldehyde, benzene, naphthalene, carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), Radon, Nitrogen dioxide (NO2), and other chemicals present in indoor air. The health effects of indoor air pollution are gaining more and more attention in the scientific community. In a literature review presenting information on the sources and health implications of various compounds investigated by researchers, the literature review provides valuable insight into how to protect against indoor pollution using international guidelines. Several research papers are found and valuable insights are gathered in a paper. This paper is used to make indoor air pollution policies and raise awareness. The government can help people become more aware of their interior environments, as well as their origins.
