Abstract

Fault tolerant system design is of high importance in today's emerging era. Aircraft control, medical applications, automobiles, security services and other critical applications demand high degree of fault tolerance. Fault tolerant power supplies form an important sub system of all critical applications. This paper makes an attempt to understand different fault tolerant power systems and ways of achieving fault tolerance in different power converters.
