Abstract
The results of experimental studies on the implosion of liners by megaampere currents that were carried out in the Department of Relativistic Beams of the Russian Research Centre Kurchatov Institute are reviewed. The main line of research was to study the possibility of realizing the liner-converter (or liner-target) scheme proposed by L.I. Rudakov.
