Abstract

Information and communication technology has changed how easily the knowledge and access to information is shared across the globe. It has increased the inter-organization communication by many folds but companies that are part of a supply chain are still not inclined to share sensitive information through it because they do not trust the other members of the chain. Blockchain application here becomes the saving grace as it is a decentralized certificate authority which helps to solve all the mentioned problem but companies are generally unaware of its features due to its novel nature and lack of case studies available to reference to. In this paper, different solutions proposed over the years for implementing this technology is inspected and its vulnerabilities are discussed.
