Abstract

Abstract This book is one of the most important to have appeared in this century in the philosophy of religion, and makes outstanding contributions to our understand-ing of the problem of other minds as well. Plantinga’s chief concern is critical: to examine in detail and refute some of the most important and plausible arguments put forward by philosophers for the existence of some sort of deity and for the existence of other minds. Plantinga demonstrates great skill in argumentation and brings all the techniques of modern philosophical analysis, including modal logic, to bear on the views he criticizes.
