Abstract
The need to replicate human intelligence into machines and the advancement in artificial intelligence techniques have helped to solve many complex real-world problems. Autonomous systems with machine cognition are continually evolving with the capability to learn and adapt by leveraging the large volume of data and computational power. The cognitive computing system applies knowledge and wisdom accrued from learning and intelligently taking human-like decisions. In this paper, we review the articles related to AI techniques and cognitive computing framework that takes the benefits of next-gen technologies for effective intelligent decision support. Moreover, the paper discusses various machine learning and deep learning techniques and algorithms that can be integrated and employed for intelligent decision making.
