The offshore oil and gas industry plays a crucial role in meeting global energy demands; however, it is fraught with inherent safety risks that necessitate constant welding and testing techniques advancements. This research paper reviews the significance of advanced welding and testing for safety in offshore oil and gas operations. This article explores traditional welding methods and their limitations in ensuring structural integrity and safety. It delves into a comprehensive analysis of advanced welding technologies, including friction stir welding, laser welding, and electron beam welding, highlighting their potential benefits in mitigating safety concerns. Moreover, the study examines the role of non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, such as ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, and magnetic particle inspection, in evaluating weld quality and structural integrity.
