Abstract

Originally published in Contemporary Psychology: APA Review of Books, 1970, Vol 15(7), 475. Reviews the book, Abnormal Behavior in Animals edited by M. W. Fox (see record 1970-08039-000). This volume provides a collection of contributions dealing with deviant behavior in wild and domesticated animals. Unfortunately the majority of papers have confined their content to general descriptions and case histories. It is possible that this volume will serve mainly to whet the interest of psychologists, rather than to satisfy their curiosity. Nevertheless, it provides a stimulating starting point.
