Abstract

A newly published research review explores the evolution in thinking around the relationship between alcohol use disorders and anxiety, drawing its main conclusion from neuroscience that the two conditions share more common mechanisms than once believed. The report's co‐authors suggest that current knowledge about the two disorders points to the potential benefits of both neurobiological and psychotherapeutic treatment strategies for affected patients.
