Abstract

The article is devoted to the review of modern methods of ore dilution assessment. The purpose of this review was to analyze the main modern approaches to the ore dilution assessment in foreign practice. The review is aimed at researchers and specialists-miners in the mining industry. The features of the development and improvement of methods for determining the level of ore dilution based on empirical graphs of the stability of the rock mass are studied. The features of the stability graph of the near-contour rock mass developed by Papaioannou A. and Suorineni F. are considered, which provides a mining engineer with the opportunity to predict ore dilution rates when designing the size of open stopе faces.
