Abstract

Apparently normal-leaved shoots occurring on a 9-year-old radiation induced mutation of grape ( Vitis rotundifolia, Michx.) were asexually propagated and compared with the original cultivar. The normal-leaved “reversion” of the irradiated plant was indistinguishable from the original cultivar except for a significantly higher percent seed germination and thicker spongy parenchyma cells in the original cultivar.
