Abstract
Mexico City is sinking and has been for many years due to excessive amounts of water being pumped from the city's wells. In order to reverse the drop in the city's water table and restore the capital's sewage and water supply systems twenty heavy-duty submersible pumps from ITT Flygt have recently been installed by the local water authority, Dirección General de Construcción y Operation Hydráulica (DGCOH).
