Abstract

Transient diabetic cataracts are generally located in the anterior and posterior subcapsular regions of the lens. The following case report describes a reversible diabetic cataract with a `fingerprint' like shape in the anterior adult nucleus. The etiology is unclear but may relate to protein modification and/or osmotic changes in the lens.
