Abstract

An important theory concerned with lattice structure is completeness, which is most determined by the completeness of its starting block. This letter provides an alternate process to design the starting block of arbitrary-length linear phase paraunitary filter banks (ALLPPUFB). The design is reversible thus guaranteeing the completeness of the starting block directly. In contrast, existing designs of ALLPPUFB starting block are non-reversible, hence an extra proof is required to show the completeness of the starting block.
