Abstract

Substance abuse and overdose are a common cause for morbidity and mortality in young healthy induviduals. We describe a patient who presented with acute onset loss of consiousness, following IV amphetamine injection. He was diagnosed as RCVS (Reversible cerebral vasoconstiction syndrome) based on angiogram. He was treated with a course of IV steroids followed by complete recovery over 2weeks.
