Abstract

New features of nuclear liquid gas phase transition were explored with the help of the nuclear multiplicity information entropy and Zpif’s law of information theory. It is found that there exists the maximum information entropy in the event space at the phase transition point as well as nuclear Zpif’s law, i.e., the mass (or charge) of the clusters shows exactly inversely to its rank. Both novel features are useful to discover the nuclear liquid gas phase transition experimentally and theoretically.
