Abstract
Se revalida Ruagea tomentosa Cuatr., como un taxón definido con base en el análisis de caracteres morfológicos. Se estudiaron 28 caracteres que diferencian a ésta especie de R. pubescens Karst, Además se describen y discuten las diferencias entre los taxones y se presenta su distribución geográfica, una clave que los separa y algunos aspectos ecológico de los mismos.
