Abstract

With the famous “climate change” appear the figure of “electric vehicle”, the mobility of this vehicle does not produce any emissions. The main problems in the electric vehicle are the autonomy and the recharge time. Using a hydrogen fuel cell, able to increase autonomy and reduce the time to recharge electric vehicles. The fuel cell would be responsible for recharging the battery (REEV: “Range extended electric vehicle”) or directly from the electric motor power (FCEV: “Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle”).We performed a model of the vehicle powertrain, in Simulink, to simulate different powertrain configurations for later with the optimal configuration of power train perform different tests on the test bench hybrid drive, available at the Aragon Hydrogen Foundation. The construction of both models (REEV and FCEV) was performed meeting all requirements for approval of hydrogen powered vehicles (Annex IV of Regulation 79/2009) and so the use of these vehicles a reality.
