Abstract

Educational multi-media applications can be deconstructed so that individual components, e.g. video clips, sound clips, photographs and text can be reused in new multi-media applications. EuropeMMM (Efficient Usage of Remote and Online Publication of Electronic Multi-Media Materials) is an EU funded project addressing the custom publishing of multi-media components. A catalogue of multi-media components at varying degrees of granularity has been set up and is available both for authors and publishers who want to publish their material, and for teachers who want access to a wider range of materials. The EuropeMMM catalogue acts both as a directory of material for which copyright conditions apply and as a repository of free components.
