Abstract

Coordination games, such as global games models, have proven useful in theoretically explaining agents behavior and market outcomes during financial crisis. Such models have not been estimated. We propose extensions to the standard global games models to a dynamic context of normal and turbulent times, and use efficient method of moments as estimation procedure. We apply the model to the yen dollar crisis of 1998.
