Abstract

Study Objective: Polypectomy of symptomatic polyps in atrophic endometrium has both a therapeutical and diagnostic function, because it solves the symptoms such as abnormal uterine bleeding and it allows an early diagnosis of endometrial cancer through histological examination. The study objective is to estimate the prevalence of cancer or pre-cancer lesions in symptomatic and asymptomatic polyps in atrophic endometrium in post-menopause removed through operative hysteroscopy and to define a right management for these two groups.
