Abstract

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of retroperitoneal laparoscopic operation of stones diverticulum calculi.Methods The clinical data of 4 patients(3 men and 1 woman) who received retroperitoneal laparoscnpic operation of stones diverticulum calculi from February 2004 to February 2008 were reviewed retrospectively.The patient age ranged from 23 to 64 years (mean,43.5 years).The stones divertieular calculi were found on the fight side in 1 case,left side in 3.Among them there were 1 cases at the upper pole of the kidney,1 at the middle and 2 in the lower pole.2 cases had experienced unsuccessful extracorporeal chock wave lithotfipey,and 1 failed with minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy,Results The procedure was successful in all the 4 cases.The operative time ranged from 90 to 240 min (mean,115 min).The intraoperative blood loss ranged from 50 to 120ml (mean,7Oral).The hospital stay was 7~10 days (mean,8 days).Double J tube drainage was 4~6 weeks.During the.follow-up (3~24 months),KUB and IVU showed no residual stones and stones diverticulum.Conclusions Retroperitoneal laparoscopic treatment is minimally invasive approach for stones diverticulum stones and represents management of the stones diverticulum simultaneously and is worth generalizing in clinic.
