Abstract

Summary. Symptomatic patients with retrocaval ureter have traditionally been treated by an open operative correction via the transperitoneal route. However, with the increasing use of minimally invasive therapy, some anecdotal reports of this condition being corrected via the transperitoneal laparoscopic approach have also appeared in the medical literature. In this paper we report our experience of the retroperitoneal laparoscopic approach.
