Abstract

Abstract: the term "Retrofit" refers to a technique that introduces a new concept of System Modernization and installation, as well as user safety. BIM (Building Information Model) has been gaining popularity due to the incorporation of a three-dimensional information model, which makes the results more compatible, detailed and easy to understand. BIM facilitates the execution of various analyses, reducing construction costs. As a result, the method allows the prediction of possible incompatibility problems of the project. BIM is a tool with a wide range of applications, one of which is retrofit technology, which automates and streamlines processes. Thus, the retrofit was applied in an educational building in the city of Rio Verde, dating from the 80s, performing analyzes through informative models of construction, aiming at improving academic/personal development. For this, aspects such as: acoustic and thermal comfort, sustainability, environment and decrease in energy consumption were analyzed, with good results in the modernization of the building, in addition to reducing energy costs and improvements in the quality of accessibility.
