Abstract

As a method of statistical physics, complex network theory has been increasingly used in interdisciplinary research, especially to provide quantitative methods for social science research and enhance the rigor and objectivity of research. Stem cell research is a complex activity in the field of regenerative medicine. The change in legal environment concerning stem cell research will influence people's attitude on stem cell research and application, and also the development of stem cell research and application will be influenced by people. Therefore, the above process is a complex process and contains the complexity that deserved to be revealed and analyzed. This paper applies complex network theory to collect the retrieval data of stem cell research in the last ten years, defines the retrieval keywords of stem cell research as nodes, quantifies the complex process, reveals the correlation between nodes reflected by the retrieval data, forming the link, and thus constructs the complex network. By analyzing the degree value characteristics, relevance of nodes and community aggregation in complex networks, we analyze the characteristics of stem cell research and explore the influence of legal environment on stem cell research, and put forward targeted suggestions on improving the legal norm. The results show that it is possible to reveal the legal complexity of stem cell research by means of the main parameters of complex networks. Our approach and analysis provide novel insight for social science research by using the approach of statistical physics.
