Retraction: "miR-124a enhances therapeutic effects of bone marrow stromal cells transplant on diabetic nephropathy-related epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition and fibrosis," by Xiaojun Cai, Lei Wang, Xuling Wang, and Fengyan Hou, J Cell Biochem. 2020; 299-312: The above article, published online on 12 June 2019 in Wiley Online Library (https://doi.org/10.1002/jcb.29170), has been retracted by agreement between the authors, the journal's Editor in Chief, Prof. Dr. Christian Behl, and Wiley Periodicals LLC. The authors asked to retract their article. A detailed investigation revealed several inconsistencies in the figures. Since original data could not be provided, the overall validity of the results could not be confirmed. The authors were not available for a final confirmation of the retraction.
