The above article, published online on 1 February 2019 on Wiley Online Library (wileyonlinelibrary.com), has been retracted by agreement between the journal's Editor-in-Chief, Professor Michael Geary, the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics and John Wiley & Sons Ltd. The journal's Editor-in-Chief was contacted by a third party who raised concerns regarding the authenticity of the data presented within the article. The authors were unable to provide a satisfactory explanation and could not provide the original data. Following review by the journal's research integrity team, it was found that the data were unlikely to be genuine. As such, the conclusions can no longer be relied upon and the journal is issuing this retraction.
