The author who contributed these data recently acknowledged committing scientific misconduct (http://ori.hhs.gov/content/case-summary-dzhura-igor). Therefore, this article is being retracted by the American Physiological Society in agreement with the authors. However, the authors believe that the remaining data shown in Figs.1–5 and 7 are consistent and sufficient to establish the cellular electrophysiological phenotype of VLCAD deficiency in mice and that the overall conclusions from this article are valid.
