Abstract
Retraction: "Downregulated microRNA-224 aggravates vulnerable atherosclerotic plaques and vascular remodeling in acute coronary syndrome through activation of the TGF-β/Smad pathway," by Hai-Ming Xu, Feng-Hua Sui, Mei-Hua Sun, Gong-Liang Guo, J Cell Physiol. 2537-2551: The above article, published online on 14 October 2018 in Wiley Online Library (https://doi.org/10.1002/jcp.26945), has been retracted by agreement between the authors, the journal's Editor in Chief, Prof. Dr. Gregg Fields, and Wiley Periodicals LLC. The retraction has been agreed after the authors asked for correction and following an investigation based on allegations raised by a third party. Several flaws and inconsistencies between results presented and experimental methods described were found. The editors consider the conclusions of this article to be invalid.
