Abstract

Retraction: A. Y. Shoab, A. M. Maged, W. Ramadan, S. Dahab, W. S. Deeb, Y. Z. A. Ali, W. A. I. Mostafa, E. A. Hussein, "The value of endocervical and endometrial lidocaine flushing before office hysteroscopy: A randomized controlled trial," International Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology 148, no. 1 (2020): 113-117, https://doi.org/10.1002/ijgo.12992. The above article, published online on 08 October 2019 in Wiley Online Library (wileyonlinelibrary.com) has been retracted by agreement between the journal's Editor-in-Chief, Michael Geary, the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics and John Wiley & Sons Ltd. The retraction has been agreed following an investigation based on concerns raised by a third party. Unambiguous inconsistencies were found in Tables1 and 2 as multiple P-values could not be reproduced. Furthermore, some of the 95% confidence intervals in Table2 are inconsistent with reported results. The authors were unable to provide the original data upon request, thus the identified inconsistencies in the presented results could not be resolved. As a result, the editors consider the results and conclusion reported in this article unreliable. The authors disagree with the retraction.
