Retraction: "Silencing lncRNA PVT1 inhibits activation of astrocytes and increases BDNF expression in hippocampus tissues of rats with epilepsy by downregulating the Wnt signaling pathway", by Teng Zhao, Ying Ding, Min Li, Chunkui Zhou, and Weihong Lin, J Cell Physiol. 2019; 234: 16054-16067: The above article, published online on 25 February 2019 in Wiley Online Library (https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/jcp.28264) has been retracted by agreement between the journal's Editor in Chief, Alexander Hutchison, and Wiley Periodicals LLC. The retraction has been agreed following an investigation based on allegations raised by a third party. Several flaws and inconsistencies between results presented and experimental methods described were found. Furthermore, indication for image manipulation was found in Figures 3, 7, and 9. Thus, the editors consider the conclusions of this article to be invalid.
