Abstract
It has been brought to our attention that this ar ticle [1], published in Central European Journal of Biology (CEJB), represents a duplicate publication of an ar ticle which originally appeared in Archives of Biological Sciences, Belgrade [2]. The corresponding author, Dr Maja A. Karaman, submitted this ar ticle to the CEJB being fully aware of the fact that it has been published previously and without acknowledging any similarities between the two manuscripts. The editors of CEJB consider this an infringement of professional ethics and therefore the decision has been made to retract the ar ticle published in Central European Journal of Biology.
