Abstract

The applications of Web 2 has several, complementary advantages compared to traditional education. It received overwhelming response from users, especially university students, who are characterized as digitals and do not accept the existing traditional education system. YouTube has become the most widely used in the applications of Web 2 in the field of education. Therefore, this study aimed to identify the effectiveness of the use of YouTube as a tool for education and participation in higher education institutions. The importance of the study attributable to that it might contribute to the development of education by finding new ways consistent with modern techniques aimed for the learner to be active and positive, and that the teacher be a director and a guide.
