Abstract

In the current study, the synthesis and characterization of two mixed-ligand coordination polymers whose chemical terms can be written as {[Cu 2 (dpmndi) (bdc) 2 )]·DMF} n ( 1 , dpmndi = N , N ′-bis(4-pyridylmethyl)-1,4,5,8-naphthalenediimide, bdc = benzene-1,4-dicarboxylate) and [Zn (dpmndi) (bdc)] n ( 2 ) were reported. The activated 1 exhibits excellent CO 2 sorption capabilities around room temperature as well as high separations of carbon dioxide over nitrogen and methane at 273 and 298 K. Their treatment activity combined with Latanoprost on primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) was determined and the mechanism was detected as well. At first, the intraocular pressure of the rats with POAG was measured. Then, the relative activation levels of the C-reactive protein in corneal cells were evaluated by real time RT-PCR (reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction). The cytotoxicity of compounds 1 and 2 combined with Latanoprost on corneal cells was evaluated with CCK-8 assay. • Two mixed-ligand coordination polymers were prepared. • Activated 1 exhibits excellent CO 2 sorption performance around room temperature. • Their treatment activity on primary open-angle glaucoma was studied.
