Abstract

Two mixed-ligand Cu(II) coordination polymers have been obtained, and complex 1 with additional methyl groups shows better water stability under the UV light conditions and could be applied as an effective catalyst for photocatalytic dye degradation. Furthermore, their treatment activity on the peri-implantitis was determined and the principle was probed as well. At first, the bacterial numbers of the P. gingivalis was determined to assess the protective effect of compound against peri-implantitis. Next, the relative activity of the rpoA gene in the P. gingivalis was determined with real time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). • Two coordination polymers were prepared. • Complex 1 could be applied as an effective catalyst for photocatalytic dye degradation. • Their treatment activity on the peri-implantitis was determined and the principle was probed as well.
