Abstract

Seismic responses of deep water continuous rigid-frame bridge supported by lattice piers. Firstly, a bridge model with lattice main pier and a bridge model with rectangular hollowmain pier are built by SAP2000 respectively. And then the deep-water bridge models under earthquake are analyzed. The added mass is added to the nodes of bridge piers for consideringhydrodynamic force which the bridge suffers. The three earthquake waves are selected to analyze the seismic responses of bridge models under seismic load. The results show that: the forms of pier may lead to significant influence on the seismic responses of a bridge; the lattice main pier can reduce the moments of side piers under “vertical + transverse” earthquake and the rectangular hollow main pier can increase the moments of side piers under “vertical + longitudinal” earthquake. The study can provide a theoretical reference for theearthquake resistant design of deep-water rigid frame bridges in the future.
