Abstract
The modern steel pedestrian bridge is softly, slender and large span, structure key parts of the structure are complex. The pedestrian bridges located in the higher earthquake intensity city should not be neglected to study its earthquake resistance performance. The response spectrum and time history method are adopted to study mechanical properties of pedestrian bridge under the action of serious earthquake in the paper. Seismic response of one long span steel braced pedestrian arch bridge is analyzed under the combination conditions of two-and three-dimensions earthquake. The results are drawn as follows: (1) Different seismic waves have different influence in the response of the pedestrian arch bridge. (2) Vertical seismic action has a significant effect on the internal forces of the pedestrian bridge (3) Vertical seismic has a great influence on the internal force of the girder near the bearing and the arch rib. (4) The peak value of the lateral displacement occurs at the junction cross section between arch rib and deck. Research results can be used to guide the pedestrian bridge aseismic design.
