Abstract

AbstractThe aftermath of the pandemic has sparked a deep global economic downturn and a significant rethinking of business technology. Digital transformation processes have intensified, which is reflected in the development of global supply chains. The purpose of this study is to conduct a descriptive comparative analysis of the processes of redistribution of economic resources and assess the processes of digital transformation of society and integration into world supply chains on the example of Russia. This study is based on empirical data obtained as a result of collecting and processing statistical information from various public domain works. To achieve the objectives of the study, indicators such as the logistics performance index, the ICT development index, the digital economy and society index and the digital life index were considered. Among the main changes in the structure of economic resources in a digital society, one can single out: a decrease in the role of natural resources, the development of the concept of renewable resources, and a decrease in dependence on financial resources. At the same time, the role of human resources, knowledge, and entrepreneurial potential is significantly enhanced, which determines the prospects for digitalization of society.
