Abstract

Abstract In this research 50–100 nm Carbon Nanotube and Zinc Oxide (CNT-ZnO) Nanocomposite were synthesized. We have initially prepared Multi-walled Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNTs) by the Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapour Deposition (PECVD) method. By two different methods, then, ZnO layers were coated on the tubes. Radio Frequency (RF) sputtering was one of the ways to directly deposit ZnO thin layer on the MWCNTs. Alternatively, we used thermally Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) for making thin Zn film to oxidize it later. Results were analyzed and discussed.
