Abstract

Solvothermal treatment of indium(III) nitrate with flexible pseudo-C3-symmetric tricarboxylic acid in the presence of NaCl at 120 °C for three days in a mixed solvent of DMF and CH3CN yields a new 3D anionic indium carboxylate framework {[(CH3)2NH2)In(L)(Cl)](DMF)}n(1) (H3L = 2,4,6-tris[(4-carboxyphenoxy)methyl]-1,3,5-trimethylbenzene), existing as a three-dimensional framework with a 2-fold interpenetrated network. The as-prepared polymer is characterized by the elemental analysis and single crystal X-ray diffraction. DMF undergoes cleavage to dimethyl ammonium ions incorporated in the pores of the framework. Furthermore, a sonochemical method is used to produce nanostructures of complex 1. Then, the in vitro anti-colon cancer activity of nano-1 is assessed with CCK-8. Annexin V-FITC/ PI and DCFH-DA detection is recruited for the cell apoptosis and the intracellular ROS accumulation assay, respectively.
