Abstract

We, the Editors and Publisher of the journal Current Eye Research have retracted the following article: Hong Lou, Jiayu Yao, Ying Sun, Hong Sun, Zhaowei Song, Huazhang Li, Xiaohui Wang, Kexin Liu, Xiangyu Liu & Zhijian Li (2021) Role of Blueberry Anthocyanin Extract in the Expression of SIRT1 and NF-κB in Rat Lens Epithelial Cells in Experimentally Induced DM, Current Eye Research, 46:1, 45-51, DOI: 10.1080/02713683.2020.1776879 Since publication, concerns have been raised about the integrity of the data presented in the article. Inconsistencies were found in the orientation, spacing, and the apparent molecular weights of western blot bands in Figure 3 and Figure 5. When approached for an explanation, the authors have been unable to provide adequate original data to ensure the reliability of the findings. Therefore, the authors have agreed to the retraction of the article. We have been informed in our decision-making by our policy on publishing ethics and integrity and the COPE guidelines on retractions. The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as ‘Retracted’.
