We, the Editor and Publisher of the Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy, have retracted the following article: Nadia M. Morsi, Rehab Nabil Shamma, Nouran Osama Eladawy & Abdelfattah A. DOI: 10.1080/03639045.2019.1572184 After publication of this article, concerns were raised to the Editor and Publisher regarding apparent rotated, duplicated and mirrored sections and black rectangles in the images in Figure 9. The authors were contacted and, while they did respond, the source files they provided contained the same issues and they were unable to provide a sufficient explanation for all the issues identified. Given the extent of these concerns, this article is being retracted. We have been informed in our decision-making by our policy on publishing ethics and integrity and the COPE guidelines on retractions. The corresponding author listed in this publication has been informed. The authors do not agree with the retraction. The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as ‘Retracted’.
