Abstract

This study, which investigated the fears of teachers and school administrators working in public schools and institutions in Denizli's central districts in the 2022-2023 academic year, was conducted in a quantitative and screening model. Data were collected from 394 administrators and teachers using easily accessible sampling method. The fear levels of teachers and school administrators being without a phone are mostly at "Moderate" and in some items at "Light" levels. While the general nomophobia levels of teachers and school administrators were at the "Medium" level with the sub-dimensions of fear of being without a phone being "inability to communicate", "inability to access information" and "Renunciation of comfort", respectively, from the highest level, the lowest average was "Losing the online connection" dimension. It is at the "Lightweight" level. It is seen that school administrators and teachers' fear levels of being without a phone do not differ according to the task they perform, while women according to their gender, those who are young for their age, those who are less senior than those who are less senior, those who have more social networks compared to the number of social networks, those who have more daily time on the phone compared to the number of days they spend on the phone. According to their education level, administrators and teachers who have graduate degrees have a higher fear of being without a phone.
